Connecting Neighborhoods, Parks, Beaches & Main Street

The Venetian Waterway Park (VWP) reflects the character of the area by creating a venue for walking, jogging, bicycling or just enjoying the natural environment. This linear park consists of 10 miles of trails along both sides of the Intracoastal Waterway and connects neighborhoods, parks, beaches and Venice Main Street.

Venice Area Beautification Inc. championed this project to enhance the quality of life for all residents and visitors to the area.

Beautiful & Pet Friendly

The Trail is also pet friendly. Pet stations are available at several locations along the Trail with basic supplies and disposal areas.

You will find benches, litter receptacles, dog clean-up stations, picnic shelters and grills, scenic views and glimpses of wildlife along the trail.

No motor vehicles allowed.

A bit more geography…

The Park runs along both sides of the Intracoastal Waterway, and there are many locations throughout the 10-mile stretch where you can access the trail, but we’ll mention some main access points here:

At the North End of the Intracoastal Waterway:

The West Side starts at the Old Venice Area Chamber of Commerce, a trail head sight with parking and lavatory facilities.
The East Side starting point is located by the Historic Train Depot.
